We are designers and makers, Josie Brookes and Tom Madge. Both graduating from the University of Brighton in 2004, we moved back up to our hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne, set up Prod and began developing our creative direction.
Prod’s leather products came about through a combination of our desire to apply our designs to something tandible, Josie’s passion for screenprinting and Tom’s leatherworking skills. Coming from graphic design and illustration backgrounds, we use our own original designs to create each pattern. Then using our signature multi-layering screenprinting process, we create a uniqueness in every item we make by hand printing each piece of leather with a different combination of patterns and colours.
We hand make and hand finish each product (down to the last detail!) with care from our studio/workshop and source all our materials locally in the North East of England.
