Sara was born in County Down in 1962. She graduated in Fine Art Painting from Loughborough College of Art in 1984 and now lives and works on the shores of Strangford Lough. She finds inspiration in the outstanding beauty of the Peninsula and its views. Working in pastel and more recently ink on metal plates, Sara’s images reflect the light on field patterns and the changing tides of the lough. The ink on metal plates are semi abstract recollections of the islands and shorelines views of the lough.
These are beautiful works and need to be viewed, the images are so familiar to anyone who knows the area around the lough and the gallery.
