…the heck are you?
We are located in Comber. Comber is a little town on the Ards Peninsula, just 8 miles from Belfast – head out past Stormont and at the next set of traffic lights watch for the signpost to the right for Comber. Entering the town you can’t miss us, we’re right on a mini roundabout opposite the North Down House pub, also know as the TT. Comber is a town we really love, it does need some help but it is up and coming and we’re trying to do our bit. If you come to visit us, why not take a bit of time and stroll down to the Square, just 200 yards to the left of the gallery. There you will find a couple of very nice coffee shops and other small businesses that might interest you. Ah go on, stay for lunch. Why not try the North Down House pub just opposite for a bite to eat or an early aperitif? It’s got great food and is super cosy.
Parking
There is a free public car park just under the Belfast Road flyover at the Glen link/Railway street. You can also park on Belfast Road or anywhere there are no double yellow lines.
If you are in the Square say hello to Rollo Gillespie, that’s him on top of the pillar right in the centre of the Square. He’s our local hero who, after many adventures was finally killed at the battle of Kalunga in Nepal – his famous last words ‘One shot more for the honour of Down’. Maybe should have been ‘keep your head down’. Anyhoo he’s been standing there since 1845.
