It’s that time of the year!

We love to see our clients returning after the summer break, “What have you been up to…”  is the usual first question.

Well, we managed to squeeze in a short trip over to the Netherlands with Guy and Avril (our sister/brother in law). As we’re all arty we very much enjoyed seeing their architecture and culture and absorbing different new sights and sounds, including Dutch beer and chips with mayo in quantity!  We had a quick look round Haarlem, Amsterdam, Leiden and Delft. All interesting place, Haarlem was voted top spot by all of us.

Back home we tried to escape more often down to the Mournes, we all sometimes forget how beautiful our own wee country is.

With one things and another we decided to stay relatively close to home for our Summer break, the Cotswolds was the destination. Beautiful and very relaxing, we could speak the language and we drive on the same side of the road. Always on the hunt for new artists for the gallery – we spotted a couple of new contenders, including an amazing basket weaver. We had a lovely visit from Lyndsay, one of our textile artists from Yorkshire and it was great to see new supplier Valerie from Wales, she was kind enough to bring over some of her amazing equine sculptures for the gallery – on show now!

Our poor shop front was looking a bit worse for wear, so the decision was made to renew and redo! Thanks to the master craftsman Brendan, the front has been reworked in marine plywood which should last us for many a year to come.

We’re back and open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays as usual – looking forward to catching up with you all. The Gallery is bursting at the seams with new stock so pop in and have a look!
