Hello everyone, we hope you are all keeping well.

As you know we are back open again and we want to thank our customers for returning to us in these difficult times for their treats and gifts. It really is lovely to see you all again – even if it is from behind a perspex screen! We are trying our best to keep up with the local guidelines to keep us all safe, we have the screens and hand sanitiser and the maximum 4 in a shop all in place. This week sees the start of the face covering rules – please wear one before you come in. If you are really stuck and forgot your mask we can give you one (in return for a £1 donation to our charity box). We only have a few spares but if you really need one, shout in from the front door and we’ll try to help.

What has everyone been up to? Staycation seems to be the thing to do this year. We plan to close the gallery in September as usual – we’ll restock and get the gallery ready for the Winter season… and then take a day here and a day there in this wonderful country of ours. Hopefully visiting places we haven’t been before, exploring our own town and returning to some favourite spots from our youth! We will continue the ‘open to appointment’ plan with the gallery throughout September, so if you are in need of a visit just drop us an email or telephone call to book in.

The garden has been getting some more attention, the addition of a new planter hand built by ourselves and we even had our first night out – a socially distanced pizza from our friends wood fired oven. That’s as close to Rome we’ll get this year, I think. Pam has been busy in the workshop with a few more special commissions, she really enjoys these personal jobs.

Thanks again for your continued support through our (very short) Spring / Summer season, we look forward to seeing you back again for our Winter season.

Pam & Keith
