Pouring vesselPeter Meanley is one of the very best ceramicist in Northern Ireland. He has been head of Ceramics at the University of Ulster for 30 years, he has taught and influenced hundreds of students to work with clay on the potter’s wheel. Peter makes salt-glazed stoneware. The quality of the surface finish and colour palette he uses are reminiscent of an earlier period in the history of the vessel pottery, but his design of the vessel form is all together captivatingly creative and thoroughly modern. We are very proud to be able to show his work here at Doghouse Gallery, we hope you will pop in and enjoy it.
